LOWER LEVEL BASEBALL - QUICKBALL, AA & AAA
INTRODUCTORY BASEBALL - QUICKBALL (FORMERLY T-BALL)
Our first level of baseball introduces 4 - 6 year-olds to the fundamental rules and skills of baseball. Starting in 2023, we will be replacing our traditional T-Ball with a new program called Quickball. Quickball is a fast pace game where kids learn the basic fundamentals of baseball. Players will be introduced to hitting, throwing, catching, fielding and base running in a safe and fun environment. Quickball is a structured system which introduces baseball concepts on a weekly escalation. It will keep kids more engaged and limits the time they stand in the field waiting for a ball or their turn to hit. The game itself is similar to whiffle ball using a soft, squeezable ball. Teams will meet twice a week with each event being about an hour. The meetings will be a combined practice and game format for about 9 weeks. The season will run from late-March through early-June.
We will provide parent volunteers with coaching practice plans, team baseball gear and team uniforms. The volunteer coaches receive training prior to the start of the season. Baseball cleats (rubber) are recommended, but running shoes will suffice. The League provides all players and 3 coaches with a team hat and jersey.
Team parents are expected to help the coaches with other important team volunteer duties like snack coordinator, bench coach, field prep, photo coordinator, and more.
Teams are generally organized by school, neighborhood and coach or buddy requests, all of which is indicated during online registration process. Coach and Buddy requests are based on a first come first serve basis. Make sure to register early to get on the team you want!
AA BASEBALL(RapidBaseball™ Level 1)
“AA” RapidBaseball™ is new for the 2024 season. baseball is for 6 and 7-year-olds, and continues the skill building that starts in Quickball. Players will continue to develop individual hitting, throwing and catching mechanics in a safe and fun environment. In addition, they’ll start to learn more rules of the game.
“AA” will feature RapidBaseball™ Level 1 format of gameplay! RapidBaseball™ utilizes a pitching machine, with a set of rules to promote a faster pace of play, with an emphasis on player development and fun. RapidBaseball games feature the following:
· Time-Based Innings: Each inning will be 20 minutes, divided evenly with each team stepping up to bat for 10 minutes.
· Continuous Play: Designed to maximize player development! After three outs, bases will clear, but the batting team keeps batting until the clock runs down.
· Pitch Count: Batters will receive a maximum of 5 pitches. Pitch accuracy is increased by leveraging the use of a pitching machine.
· AlwaysPlay™: At Level 1, a ball is always put in play. In the event a batter doesn't successfully put a ball into play after 5 pitches, a coach near home plate puts a ball into play and the and the batter will run out the play. More balls in play equals more fun!
· Enhanced Pitching Development: In each half-inning, guided by a coach, two players will take on a 25-pitch bullpen session. This approach is tailored to afford more players increased pitching opportunities, thereby enhancing their skills and deepening their understanding of pitching fundamentals.

Volunteer coaches receive RapidBaseball™ training prior to the start of the season. Players will need to purchase a baseball glove, long-sleeved T-shirt, baseball pants, athletic supporter (including cup for boys), and socks. Baseball cleats (rubber) are recommended. Your coach will recommend a coordinated color of pants and socks to purchase.
Team parents are expected to help the coach with other important team volunteer duties like snack coordinator, bench coach, field prep, photo coordinator, and more. Teams are organized by school, neighborhood and buddy requests, all of which is indicated during online registration process. It’s recommended that any buddy requests you make during registration are reciprocated by the buddy’s parents, so please coordinate with other parents prior to registration.
AAA BASEBALL (RapidBaseball™ Level 2)
“AAA” RapidBaseball™ returns for the 2024 season - AAA Division is for 7 and 8-year-olds, and is a transitional level to upper level baseball. Players further develop their baseball skills, baseball IQ, and sportsmanship in a safe and fun environment.
“AAA” will feature RapidBaseball™ Level 2 format of gameplay! RapidBaseball™ utilizes a pitching machine, with a set of rules to promote a faster pace of play, with an emphasis on player development and fun! RapidBaseball games feature the following:
· Time-Based Innings: Each inning will be 20 minutes, divided evenly with each team stepping up to bat for 10 minutes.

Teams have 11-12 players, depending on the number of coach volunteers, and teams are organized by school, neighborhood and buddy requests, all of which parents indicate during the online registration process. Teams meet 2-3 times per week (a meeting is a practice or a game). Parents should expect a 5-hour time commitment per week.
Practice starts in mid-March and games start within 21 days. There are approximately 17 games in a season, and the season usually concludes with a baseball Jamboree in early June, where teams play each other in a tournament format.

UPPER LEVEL BASEBALL - MINORS, COAST & MAJORS
MINORS BASEBALL
Minors is the first program level that is 100% kid-pitch and includes players ages 8* and 9. Minors is an INSTRUCTIONAL division that intends to be inclusive and build a strong skills foundation in anticipation of introducing competition in our year end tournament and in subsequent baseball divisions.
Teams typically have 12 players and the teams are organized by draft. Minors is predominately 9 with select 8 and 10-year-olds. Teams meet two to four times per week (a meeting is a practice or a game).
There are approximately 15-16 games in a season. Practice starts in March and games start in April. Games are 6 innings in length with three outs per inning.
Players pitch regulation Little League baseballs. Modified base stealing is allowed. Score is kept and standings are kept.
COAST BASEBALL
Coast baseball is an introduction to competitive baseball but still maintains an instructional focus. Coast teams typically have 12 players and the teams are organized by draft. Coast is geared towards 10 and 11 year-olds. Teams meet two to four times per week (a meeting is a practice or a game).
There are approximately 15-16 games in a season. Practice starts in March and games start in April. Games are 6 innings in length with three outs per inning.
Players pitch regulation Little League baseballs. Base stealing is allowed. Score is kept and standings are kept.
MAJORS BASEBALL
Majors baseball is the first fully competitive program in Little League.
Majors teams typically have 11-12 players and the teams are organized by draft. Majors is geared towards 11 and 12-year-olds. Teams meet two to four times per week (a meeting is a practice or a game).
There are approximately 15-16 games in a season. Practice starts in March and games start in April. Games are 6 innings in length with three outs per inning.
Players pitch regulation Little League baseballs. Base stealing is allowed. Score is kept and standings are kept.
BIG DIAMOND BASEBALL - INTERMEDIATE, JUNIORS & SENIORS
INTERMEDIATE BASEBALL
The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division a 50-foot pitching distance, 70-foot base paths and is played on bigger baseball fields.
The division, is for players league-age 13 with postseason tournament opportunities, including a World Series, offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) and the Junior/Senior field size (60-foot, 6-inch pitching distance and 90-foot base paths).
Many of the Intermediate League rules are used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter.
JUNIORS BASEBALL
The Junior League Baseball Division is a program for boys and girls ages 14, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 54 feet and 80' foot bases.
The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or “All Stars”) of 14-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Senior League Division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.
The culmination of the International Tournament is the Junior League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League International.
SENIOR BASEBALL
The Senior League Baseball Division is for boys and girls 15-16 years old, using a conventional 90-foot diamond with a pitching distance of 60 feet, 6 inches.
The local league has an option to choose a Tournament Team (or “All Stars”) of 15-16-year-olds from within this division (and/or from within the Junior League division), and the team may enter the International Tournament.
The culmination of the International Tournament is the Senior League Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world. All expenses for the teams advancing to the World Series (travel, meals and housing) are paid by Little League International.
